• Do you plan on riding in winter? My mack hubs aren't well sealed and frankly I think the machining is better on mass produced hubs I've had, even if the finish is not as pleasing.

    There's no denying they look good though.

    Not much at all. I was only looking at the Mack hub as it was a recommendation based on my criteria of wanting to match a Bitex front road hub.

    As stated, all I want is a low flange fixed 24h hub. I’m struggle to see why that seems so hard to source.

    It’s not as if low front / high rear functions badly or looks unusual.

    Hand built wheels are a minority interest as far as the industry is concerned, fixed is a small niche, track riders using traditional wheels have largely favoured large flange, so that's what became popular in the early 21st century fixie boom.
