EC1 Bathrooms.
My Arte Forme delivery arrived and all the stuff is absolutely amazing and beautiful.
If you check the prices online Ec1 will usually do 25% or so off so taking them into the realms of affordable and not much more than the usual places but a lot nicer.

I fucking hate our kitchen sink. The tap is always in the wrong place no matter how you position it and the way the sink itself is designed, if you don't position the tap properly, it will piss water everywhere. Point 1 exascerbates Point 2. We are not likely to redo the kitchen for some time. How common/easy is it to replace just the sink and tap? Am I going to create more headaches than I solve?

Change the tap first - taller, shorter, longer - anything. You may get a much better sink.
We moved in and out kitchen had the Ikea Belfast sink knock-off. Hated it. Changed the tap and now love the combo.
Taps are easy to change over.

The whole thing is fucking abysmal, I hate it. It's ceramic so I would probably enjoy lobbing it into the garden and taking my 5lb lump hammer to it. But as you suggest, I will probably swap the tap out first and see if I can sort the sealant around the edges first as that would be the cheaper/easier option. Although, from the initial glance I took the other day, access to the tap nuts looks pretty tricky. Post lump hammer, access should be much easier.

Fuck me, more issues with Diespeker... after telling me my first choice wasn't available and suggesting a second they now tell me they don't have that one.
Bunch of clowns. -

our bit of Walthamstow - which is the nice quiet but, because it has nothing happening in it
ftfy :P
Given I'm literally buying a house on Rensburg Road because it's nice and quiet I can't say I was stoked to hear about it, but my view is more balanced than some of the local swivel-eyed loons (I watched the WHOLE of the two hour licencing meeting, so you don't have to).
The reality is that Waltham Forest (like all other local authorities) desperately need the money, and there's plenty more green space around there: it's not like it's the one park for miles or anything.
However, it's going to be attended by 4,600 people a night, who will nearly all arrive between 5.30 and 6.30 and be guided down the Black Path (that shared path round the back of the bread factory).
They will put up barriers to protect the cycle lane, but the punters will presumably have to cross it at some point and it's well used so I can imagine a potential conflict there. I think it will also be very hard to walk against the flow down the path when people are arriving/leaving.
Secret Cinema have said the following about the noise:
- They can literally control the loudspeakers so that within a few metres of the perimeter of the fence line 'very little audio can be heard'.
- "It's particularly useful for audio that is coming out of the back" and the speakers will be facing SW (away from the houses).
- Levels of noise within the site needs to be taken in the context of levels of noise that are already in the area. With the train line and various different bits of industrial use it is c. 55 decibels on a normal day and they aim to match this (but as has been pointed out this is during the day, not the evening).
- "Elements to the rear of site will have very low impact from sound levels as has been modelled by our noise consultant."
I hope this is true because the place we're buying is 400m away!
The big issue at the moment is that a lot of the pertinent information hasn't been shared in the planning paperwork. The route along the Black Path is redacted (presumably because they're 'Secret' Cinema) and the Sound Impact Assessment hasn't been uploaded, so the process is somewhat flawed currently.
These are my two main areas of concern so I'm actually talking to Waltham Forest about this at the moment. In their defence, the regeneration page for Low Hall which sets out all the details hasn't been updated for a while because the guy who looked after it died unexpectedly :(
Oh and the application is very hard to find, so much so I made a link for it:

What kind of tap is it, a lot of them don't have a proper aerator so the water sprays everywhere when it hits a surface.

Ohhh is that what it’s for?!

Get tap nut spanners, they reduce time and swearing by about 10000%.

Big bold art work... thinking simple and clean, strong shapes and bold colours... any ideas where/what to buy?
-

It doesn't have one, but that is only part of the problem. It pivots around a point, but the arc that describes doesn't put the stream in any useful position. So even if splashing were fixed by an aerator, I would still curse its name.

I have those, somewhere. But even if I can't find them, I know full well the annoyance of not having them so will gladly buy a second set.

Maybe get something with a retractable spray feature.

If I’m honest, the current examples look like the front of a flip chart refill or the insert that comes free with a frame.

Some BOUROULLEC from here
I've got stuff from Victoria Plumbing (not a full suite but various bits) and it seemed decent for the price.
