The bit that stands out is the co.uk company based in Berlin. That can’t continue after Brexit surely?

Certainly Leave.eu recently had to change their domain ownership to EU rather than that UK so would assume it will work the other way too

Most domains don't care where you are. I have a .fi for example and have no links with Finland at all.

I don't think it's a spectacularly stupid idea to not treat an international organisation as a sovereign nation. I can't think of any reason why we anyone would want to give them those rights, to be honest.
I do think it completely undermines the argument that the UK lacked sovereignty when it was a member, however. If the EU isn't sovereign, but instead the member states which make it up are, what was all that moaning about sovereignty really about? Oh yeah...
We agreed to recognise the EU in that way when we signed the Lisbon treaty, and treated them as having those rights whilst we were in the EU. We're also literally the only country that doesn't recognise the EU ambo as such (now).

EU domains are dealt with by the EU, so I'd assume co.uk is dealt with by the UK gov?
The leave.eu thing would be possible fine...except the guy they transferred the domain to claims he has no idea about it. So either he's lying or they have just dumped it on him with no consent and need to find a willing domain holder in the EU.

The delegation of .uk predates the government having any interest in it. On the other hand it is controlled by a UK limited company so the government could take control if they really wanted to.

Nominet.uk manages UK domain names.

The refusal to offer FERRERO ROCHER to the EU Ambassador is spectacularly stupid.

So are most airlines. More of a pandemic thing than an EU thing.

After delivery, DHL invoices the recipient for the duties and taxes paid on their behalf at destination, plus a small administration fee.
-
• #29114
But the recipient has no contract with DHL. I could send an unsolicited package to you from abroad and you would be stuck with a bill which seems very unfair. If you are invoiced before delivery you get to refuse the parcel of poo.

Which nation is gonna say "your tunnel, your shit" first?
I'm sad to see many of things I could enjoy and were real life experiences taken away, stuff like Erasmus, Free Movement, Eye and Mind opening overseas Travel. Now it's all building walls, having the right paperwork, paying more from everything. How depressing

I can't really imagine Eurostar not being rescued in some way. I do hope that happens. I think without trains through the tunnel, I'd take about fourteen hours to get to Germany. While I have no doubt that the current crisis is mainly a product of the pandemic, one effect of 'Brexit' is definitely that Deutsche Bahn cancelled or postponed (don't know which) their plan to run direct Germany-London trains. I think that was in the planning stages since well before 'Brexit', and it may well never happen now.

Surprisingly little in U.K. press about this

If Joaquin Phoenix had a penny for every time someone posted the joker meme in the context of Brexit... he could afford a few fish himself.

Thats definitely black not blue
Every other country in the world does, though, so we're just making a pathetic stand for some ridiculous points scoring
