Is that Ron Perlman on the right?

I looked this morning into past quotes by Brian May and Noel Gallacher on that letter before getting bored - I knew there'd be at least one of them that had historical contradictory Brexit quotes.

I agree, but it is an additional cost. Depends if they are willing to absorb that and if they can get local teams, it usually seems to be Fly By Nite parked at the Odessey/SSE Arena for concerts.
This whole visa problem seems to hit classical music concert groups as well and they also tour.
Being sarcastic and probably wrong, the EU probably mentioned "freedom of movement" and there was a kneejerk reaction from some dumbdumbs in the UK team. I mean, why oh why, would you do this? Unless it is incompetence, again.

Well he can put his vote where his mouth is and start campaigning for rejoin ;)
Exceptionalism strikes again.

Local music for local people.

Aren't we matching the EU on this? People can come over and work for 90 days in 180? I'm still confused on how this impacts touring bands coming to the UK.
Edit*
I am indeed wrong. Ignore me! -
• #29083
Isn't the 90 days to visit, not to work?
Work permit is separate. Plus then there's cabotage + other admin stuff if you have kit.

Politics by marketing done well.
350 million to NHS weekly were the main promise that never materialised amongst other.
I don’t get the “they voted for it they should deal with it” mentality, this is the fault of the government rather than the population.

Yeah, you're right. I misread a quote.
-
• #29086
EU offered that, we rejected it because 'control our borders'.
-

Not completely though, you still tick that box.
I did some online research of "can this work" even though I could not vote nor would I vote Brexit anyway but really...it was all based on the EU offering a bespoke deal.
And it's true some people did believe the 350 million and it's scandalous how a referendum with no safeguards became legally binding.
But the people I talk to just shrug, it's politics they all lie. I mean wow. And I do know many people protested and the right wing press etc. could really steer the conversation. But in France there's be huge protests here pffff politics innit.
I have sympathy if you voted for in 2016 but end 2019 voting cons / DUP after it was clear that £ wasn't there... Nope.
We do need better politics for sure better voting, safeguards against bs promises...but they did enable this too.
Maybe I'm 50/50 sympathetic ;)

I have seen the radicalisation by the press first hand I despise Murdoch even more after that.
And somebody clearly feeling sorry when I told them about problems for EU nationals they honestly weren't aware.
But actions have consequences. Now how to all move on idk. I don't see it if there is no acknowledgement of harm done.

Turns out you now also need a reserve guarantee find for UK vat when bringing EU goods into GB.
Now... perhaps that's the case for non EU goods going to UK as well. That's a big change though on top of all the paperwork and lack of information.
In fairness I knew about paperwork and health checks when EU ref kicked off but not this...

Been told that our vital 3D ground penetrating radar kit for site is held up at UK Customs Border, lack of Brexit paperwork apparently.

Charges of almost £100 on a £300 order of linen from a .co.uk company, which turned out to be based in Berlin.
What are your rights with these? I assume if you refuse to pay the fees they get sent back to the company you ordered from, and they refund you what?
What if you don't like them and want to send them back? What portion of the £100 fees would you see again, and how would you get it?

The refusal to offer diplomatic rights to the EU Ambassador is spectacularly stupid. On the face of it, just some more petty points scoring, but of course we need to liaise and communicate even more with the EU now, so immediately pissing them off really is a bad idea

I ordered some car parts from Germany two weeks ago, they have just been delivered by parcel force. The shippers bill of sale and customs declaration were on the outside of the box as yet I have to receive a bill.
I tried to make the purchase in the beginning of December, but they wouldn’t ship to the uk because of brexit uncertainty.
I guess I need to sit back and see if I get a bill. -

I don't think it's a spectacularly stupid idea to not treat an international organisation as a sovereign nation. I can't think of any reason why we anyone would want to give them those rights, to be honest.
I do think it completely undermines the argument that the UK lacked sovereignty when it was a member, however. If the EU isn't sovereign, but instead the member states which make it up are, what was all that moaning about sovereignty really about? Oh yeah...

I think it is hard for a delivery company to bill you after delivery as they don't have a contract with you. That's why they usually bill before they hand over the parcel.
Looks like you got lucky this time.
Hope they don't cancel the 2021 gig in the UK.
Also. Daltry can get in the sea.
