  • Wooof, ok - thank you everyone, wasn't expecting that, exciting to see.

Give me a little time to round things up; I'll start a new thread to avoid clogging this up. I'll add all the names^ here to a list. Will make samples (two sizes), explain the material, timing, cost etc, and get a YES confirmation before making up/dispatching. Donation to forum + charity.

And just as a quick explainer... I use my civie name everywhere else, not a problem, but when I joined the forum there was a lot of, errrr, anti-Rapha sentiment. I couldn't be doing with this, so opted for an alternative name to avoid having to engage. Anyway, this is me and me - please say hi if you like :) - and now you can see where the product name came from

  • No idea why they didn’t do it - Staring them in the face, newspaper story all ready to go - over to @villa why it didn’t float.

It was in development but during the (ahem) 'turmoil' time. And I had planned one with Gazetta print. Obv got dropped when I did!
It's a great product G, which is why we've done one at Le Col. The slightly wider profile makes it easier to tuck into place under bib straps to keep in place.
(Thanks for the note on the copy - will get that fixed!)

  • I'm keen too!

  • Yeah, trust me I've already tried everything. I think I would need better wind-proofing. Another area that gets cold is lower back/lumbar area. I guess I'm officially getting old...

  • Sorry if it’s teaching you to suck eggs but most wetsuits and other outdoor sports have a focus on keeping the kidneys warm. Maybe a back burner could help?

  • I'm keen for a burner as well!

  • 'turmoil' - that does make sense. I figured it was something to do with a 'decision maker' not having actually used it, and not grasping British weather/high-mountains/long days - Read what you like into that.

  • I wish I could jump. on the burner wagon, but I dont ride bikes (outside) for more than couple of hours anymore #andyp

  • giant Cargo Quilt Burner for your passengers?

  • you know what tho, my turbo is in the shed and for first 5 mins or so its very cold so the only option I am left with is 1. Not to turn the fans on for that OR 2. Wear my dickies work shirt (quilted).

    Both annoying.

  • Very keen also!

  • you can use it on the turbo to protect yourself from fan chill until you warm up

    im very clever

edit: oh I see you already said this ffs

  • I'd be keen as well

  • Why am I hash tagged, I barely ride bikes for more than two hours these days too?

  • Would also be interested, though am also in the 'barely ride bikes' camp at the moment...

  • Burner me too, puhleeze!

  • I would like one with maybe a shoulder bit to the right where i separated my shoulder and it still aches in the winter . Its that or mug a kid for their puffa.

  • David Cameron said Mug a Hoodie

  • Good to know on the 'leg burners'. I was about to make some as I bought some clo insulation to make burners for me and my mates (having made a test one with some thinsulate I had lying around). Probably won't bother if they don't work. Clo insulation is surprisingly cheap and the service from them was great.

  • Leg warmers under the bibs?

  • Yeah that makes more sense for an extra windproof/insulating layer.

  • It needs something with a bit of support to the loft, or to go on the outside over the insulating fleece and not next to skin. They were a faff to position, and then I found the repeated leg cycles shifted them around . There might be a convenient way, maybe like a foam (think glove padding) or spacer mesh with windproof face. ....all gets a bit roller-ball body armour-ey.... let us know how you get on!

  • WiFi plug mate. Buyer solution.

  • I'll be keen on one as well!

  • also keen for when you put a list together!
