What was acceptable in the past may not be acceptable now. This is how things work.
Example: BLM thread on front page.
That kind of sexism was misguided at the time, has aged very badly, and certainly isn't acceptable now. It doesn't even pass an ironic or satirical test. It's just sexist.
I would delete, but when I delete I'm hiding this stuff rather than keeping it visible and showing from the backlash that it isn't acceptable. So it's only still here to document these reactions to it.
