Firm taps should ease it out gently.
I.e mm at a time rather than lamping it and the cups flying miles

I must be doing it wrong or the cups are stuck as I belted it for no movement at all.

you gotta hit hard while screaming THREADED BB FO LIFE.

Pic? I’ve had to properly whack one or two, sending the bb and the park Tool tool flying across the room, but firm taps and possibly some wd40 should work for most.
(Firm = a bit harder than driving a large nail into hardwood at home) -

You've also got to hold the frame still otherwise you are simply losing all that energy. On particularly difficult ones I prop the bike on the floor using sand bags to support the frame and absorb the shock.

Also, you wouldn’t be the first to be hammering away with the tool set against the actual frame instead of the bb. Worth double checking.

Get someone holding the frame from the other side and a chunky club hammer, smack the thing out. Careful first, harder if it's not moving, as long as you can still control the hammer.

Heating the frame around the bb with a hair dryer wouldn’t hurt either

The BBB tool has somewhat unclear instructions so I found the ones for the very similar shimano tool and followed those instead. that and a slightly harder whack and I fired half the BB across the floor of the office garage. So... read instructions and hit it harder.
I have a BBB pressfit removal tool and I’m not sure how hard I should be smacking it to get the cups out?
I’m hitting it quite hard as I’m nervous about missing the bloody thing and staving in my frame. I’ve got a “normal” home hammer so maybe that’s the problem?
