Yeah - still going strong. Buying it off you was one of my better decisions. Contemplating going disc at the front, partly for slightly better control on long descents but also as the fork only just clears a 26c gravel king and I'd appreciate being able to run something like a 28c conti 4 season to take a bit more out of our terrible roads.

Thanks for the kind words. I haven't weighed the current build yet, but in the pictured iteration it was about 7.1 kilograms. It has some practicalities that add weight - a bell, Hexlox everywhere (including their security nuts, which are large), big tires, helicopter tape - so in 'race trim' it might well be sub-7.

It definitely skids. I wouldn't have a GatorHardshell on the rear if it didn't.

I've actually raised the front end by 12 mm (-3 spacer below stem, +15 Specialized Hover), but even with the bars also having 5 mm less drop it's unfortunately not enough to clear the tire so I still have to be vigilant.

Nice to see it looking very similar to all those years ago, such a light and responsive frameset. I can see the benefit of going disc up front

Silver Omniums might look nice, and it's possible you might pick up some second hand. I know it's a different BB but it's external and you can uses the same external Shimano bb tool to swap.

Funny you should say that, bought a set of omniums this morning. Sadly had to go for black though, as couldn’t find any in silver anywhere.

Yeah, big says 'atmo' out loud, thinks everything made in Asia anywhere other than Japan is crap, describes himself as 'an industry guy' energy.

Heard it as tradition if you buy the headset used. Bike above doesn't look like the sort where that's the case, though.
