I bought some combat trousers from Arktis like the below:
The hem drawstrings are crazy long and have individual toggles. I don't get it. Am I meant to cut them down? tie them in a bow ever time i put the trousers on?
Currently contemplating replacing the individual toggles with a dual...toggle thing and cutting the laces down, but I feel there's must be a reason they're designed like they are.
I've pulled out the cords on every pair of pants I've ever bought that had 'em, I think it's mostly fashion. They're definitely not safe for cycling as is, and look like they taper enough to keep the weather out anyway.
