Not completely though, you still tick that box.
I did some online research of "can this work" even though I could not vote nor would I vote Brexit anyway but really...it was all based on the EU offering a bespoke deal.
And it's true some people did believe the 350 million and it's scandalous how a referendum with no safeguards became legally binding.
But the people I talk to just shrug, it's politics they all lie. I mean wow. And I do know many people protested and the right wing press etc. could really steer the conversation. But in France there's be huge protests here pffff politics innit.
I have sympathy if you voted for in 2016 but end 2019 voting cons / DUP after it was clear that £ wasn't there... Nope.
We do need better politics for sure better voting, safeguards against bs promises...but they did enable this too.
Maybe I'm 50/50 sympathetic ;)
Ed pointed out earlier the Cons were very, very dishonest by omission about the consequences of their "oven ready deal" by omitting the customs border.
Politics by marketing done well.
At the same time, you are still part responsible by ticking the box. If you don't follow the Brexit news or plans and still voted Cons in 2019, cha... you won't be first in my sympathy line.
