R470db that cheap disc rim. Decent though.
Mavic open pro ust would work well.

The dt swiss rr421 and rr521 are options as well. You need a symmetric rim.

Easton r90sl rims are very nice too.

Is the cheaper R470db basically just a shallower version of the RR521db ? lighter too. must be missing something.

I suppose the RR521db, even though as a rim its heavier, will overall build a stronger lighter wheel? ~~the approx (9mm*32) 29cm of extra spokes probably weigh more than 70g. I'm guessing here.~~

I do like the DTSwiss rims though, got a set of Campag record pista hubs laced to RR511db on the De Rosa.

Do you have an opinion on the DT Swiss track hubs?

This is very obviously wrong, and a lesson in thinking about the magnitude of a numerical claim before accepting it. 700C wheel spokes are usually in the 28cm range of lengths, clearly one spoke doesn't weigh 70g

@ObiWomKenobi I recently picked up a DT swiss hub for a friend, it is not laced yet but they seem pretty solid and the mirror finish looks fantastic
