Don’t know where to start with this. 3T carbon frameset, quarq power meter coupled with luminous MTB flat pedals and schwalbe delta cruiser tyres.

Just Quarq crank arms, no PM
Don’t know where to start with this
The antiporn thread?

Just Quarq crank arms, no PM
Gotcha. Not familiar with PMs so made an assumption. Still, wonderfully anti.

Facebook has a Canyon Aeroad DB frameset and zipp wheels for 1k in a 56cm
I’ll take the wheels if anyone just wants the frame :-) -
• #63835
I see this. I take it its just frameset and wheels? Not a complete bike
The ad does sound a tiny bit Iffy with the inability to find a serial number. But if its a genuine sale...
-
• #63836
Yeah pretty good value. Given the context of the picture I think you might have your fears set aside no?
-
• #63838
Ha yeah I suppose. Not impossible that a thief has one of those nice storage racks tho! Nah, I'm just kidding. It just does seem a bit too cheap. But what's the frameset likely worth alone? Worth you buying both and flip the frame?
-
• #63839
My guess is, electric only frameset may limit audience. Disc electric groups still aren’t very cheap.
Guessing that’s why he won’t split?? -
• #63840
Ah hadn't realised it's electric only. But even still... Potential mad bargain.
You spoke to the seller then yeah? -
• #63841
Yeah I was just after the wheels. If the frame was my size I’d take the chance to flip.
-
• #63842
Yeah too small for me too, otherwise would be tempting.
I'm just keen for you to get some bargain zipps :)
-
• #63843
Yeah frustrating. Not sure what other reason could be for not splitting?
-
• #63844
Saw this pop up on my saved search - This really is an inspirational build. I'm going to change my Strada plans and model it off of this instead.
Screams mountain biker who fancied a road bike and thought £1935 for a £4850 RRP bike off Merlin was a good price last year then realized it wasn't for them. I hope the tyres and bar tape were fitted by a local shop...
Off to Anti with you!

Yeah, this is why it does seem a bit odd. They would surely make more than a grand if they split no?
Unless I'm way off on what I think the wheels and frame could sell for alone.
Do canyons ever come stock with Zipp wheels? If the wheels have had as little use as the frame, ie nearly new then someone is bound to flip thisI'm keeping my eye out for a spare set of disc wheels for my Tarmac. Had told my self I'd try not to be too precious with the zipps and ride in any weather but it feels wrong...
-
• #63847
I think they are a bargain together but less so for a flip?
The wheels are probably worth £650?
Frame maybe a little more, not sure there is enough in it for the hassle? That’s certainly why I’ve not but I’m a bit conservative on pricing maybe. -
• #63848
Yeah I was thinking if I was in the market for them I'd pay about £600 for the wheels and feel I got a god deal.
I think I've been off on pricing for the frame then, I was assuming it could be sold around £850ish
But maybe not worth the bother if frame wouldn't sell for that sort of money
-
• #63849
Let’s say you’d get £750 for the frame still a £250 pair of Zipps but meh the hassle would be annoying.
-
• #63850
I know. You'd have to deal with all the experts on ebay offering half of asking price etc.
Id like the zipps for £250 too, but also cba
Had this? Looks a lovely audax frame for the little amongst us. 4hrs to go. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Columbus-neuron-hand-built-touring-Audax-frameset-Size-XS-49cm/164635391315?hash=item265508b553:g:LXIAAOSwXUlf-hsD
