Boris was still spaffing on about “increased access to fish” this morning whilst reporter failed to challenge him about reduced opportunity to sell any fish.

If they all sign up to the rejoin campaign they have accepted they were voting themselves out of business, until then cha..."project I told you so" "stitched up like kippers" etc.

A reporter failing to challenge the Gove-n-mint?
Truly shocked.
Nearly as shocked that those (likely empty, happy to be corrected) trucks didn’t dump tons of dead fish in W1

Did everything to prepare finds even so it's cumbersome and HMRC can't help any faster than within 5 days...

From Dutch Embassy in Ireland:
A welcomed announcement from Samskip, who will begin operating a direct container service linking Dublin and Amsterdam next week.
This direct weekly service will further enhance and strengthen Irish-Dutch trade links, and will be especially welcomed by freight companies =wishing to avoid the UK landbridge=, offering a greater outreach into the European market.Goods only atm.

Samskip aren't new to Netherlands-Ireland trade routes.

Due to which Brits can’t give blood in a number of countries- risk of what we have from for e.g. BSE too high.

This is an extra route from what I understand.

Battle of the dimwits but Poots is roasting Lewis nicely.
He described Mr Lewis as: "The emperor with no clothes - but instead of a small boy pointing out he's naked, the whole crowd is pointing it out."
😂 Takes one to know one in this case.

I believe we don't give UK kids UK blood because of BSE. Instead they get blood from US prisoners.
That policy might be changing now people that weren't born during the BSE outbreak can now be old enough to donate.
-
• #29044
that's extraordinary if true. just thinking about it is wild. so blood donations in this country only go to adults?
-
• #29045
Sounds bollocks to me. Lots of stuff about UK blood donations going to babies on the blood.co.uk site:-

My blood has gone to Great Ormond St a few times and last time I was donating I was told that it was going to babies (I'm not sure which specifically). (I was born in the 70s.)
EDIT: I assume the above is how they knew where it was going.

It's all posturing politics. They can't change workers' rights without invoking the moderation protocols in the FTA, leading to tarrifs.
They are just trying to placate the business owners who are starting to ask themselves whether this Brexit malarkey was really so wonderful.

On the working time directive, Kwarteng said a number of EU countries had opted out of it
A triumph of Brexit, we no longer have to follow the EU rules that EU countries don't have to follow either.
As the old saying goes, be careful what you wish for.
