Common bodge to improve shifting. Ergonomics suffer obviously.

But with a 3-speed, how much do you really need to shift? So small loss imo.
(Disclaimer: I have ridden 3-speed bikes extensively)

I had a three speed with that wheel pivot thing for the cable but I had my shifter on the bars.

My beer/station bike is now commuter.
Converted this to ss ages ago after crappy grip shifter snapped and flung me off :/

It's a 20" town bike/folder like a Raleigh 20, all it have is a coaster brakes, big tyres and big chainset.

is that a pompetamine?
