So, the DVDs and viewer guide are long gone, but inside this tatty box are the 9 Collectible Figure Pencil Sharpeners of "Zeta Gundam" Mobile Suits in untouched (wrapped and boxed) condition. I've opened only one of the inner boxes to show it. It's a bit niche but would anyone like them? Collect from SE6.
(It's possible the poster is still somewhere in the house too if anyone is keen - would be in used condition but if I recall it's on heavyweight film so should be ok).

Currently binge watching it right now! I still know the theme song word for word aha. A pretty amazing throwback.

Also just remembered this on my shelf.
I usually read my manga online because getting a full run of volumes is damn expensive. Found this Vol 1 in a Shelter charity shop in pretty good condition.

Ah nice!
I've been watching some on eBay, can't bring myself to cough up so much (they're around £200 for the ones I'm keen on) -
• #141
Paid £250 for this 10 years ago. Prob too much but a prized possession.
-
• #142
I'd have thought something from Akira might appreciate in value at some stage
-
• #143
berserk manga is amazing, still going strong =]
Gotta go find my chopped down akira cell now after seeing this thread -
• #144
Argh, I'll be skinned if I buy a cel, but, so, tempting
-
• #145
I used to know the people at anime fx and manga uk when I was at school - blagged 5x original akira cells but only kept one for myself.... stupidly had chopped it down to fit in a small frame but now dunno where it is :s
I watched akira at the BFI IMAX last oct, sound was phenomenal -
• #146
Nice, I caught GITS on the big screen a few years back, so good
-
• #147
fuck really can't find my akira cel, might've ebayed it years ago and forgotten :/
I watched some 80s anime recently which is a bit obscure
Angel Cop - 6 OVAs, hasn't aged fantastically but is funny for that, OTT pointlessly violent, worth watching ;)
Genocyber - 5 OVAs, can't remember that many eps being released in the UK but the last couple are probably the best, bit wack but animation quality/designs are nice & detailed
VOTOMS - 52 eps, longo and not really worth plugging thru unless yr bored, has some interesting ideas but is dated -

I watched the US live action version in the cinema when it came out and it made me want to puke, rewatched the original anime - storyline is coherent and is really polished - love it =]
-
• #149
Yes they managed to mess up the live action one, I could've missed watching that in the cinema

If you really want to nerd out on the level of attention to detail in the animation this is a great watch:
