Now, don't get me wrong; as ever, I think 'Brexit' is a stupid nonsense, but we shouldn't overlook things like that in a very large market you will get things made extremely non-locally and then trucked all over the place, whether it's fruit and veg or things like this. Needless to say, all of this could be addressed in ways other than 'Brexit'ing, but I think it is true that the EU's economic neoliberalism (which is not as bad as Britain's), a product largely of the Thatcher-Kohl years, is not a good way of doing things like this, either.
