  • I have no idea where you’ll get belly-button brass from.

  • Lord Nelson?

  • Maybe it's like belly button fluff, but brassier?

  • am i right in thinking that if you're single and not living with anyone, by law you wouldn't have had a shag in close to a yeaR?

  • Or if you're married. Wayaah

  • Could form a 'support' bubble

  • that can't be right.

there's no way all these people are keeping their juices to themselves.

    get poirot on it

  • a run

    How many?

  • 20 or so? It's the part that always goes missing from Serotta frames, so having a bag of them in the back of the toolbox would be extremely relaxing in many ways.

  • I wouldn't describe myself as single - 25 years of committed monogamy and counting - but due to geographical non-proximity, that sounds about right.

  • 20 or so

Then literally any job shop which wants the work, it's just enough to warrant programming the CNC but not so many that a manual shop couldn't do them for about the same price. My stock advice applies, you should be able to find somebody to do 20 for £100 or thereabouts.

On the other hand, there's a better than even chance that these would do the job

  • by law

Aye, and there's the rub. I heard from a friend in the rubbing industry that business continues, with some adjustment. I imagine amateurs are finding ways too.

  • I will admit that I am not aware of what term to Google to find such a shop- “machinist” doesn’t work, neither does “light engineering”. What am I missing?

  • CNC+milling or turning plus your town name usually brings up directory listings. Since many shops still don't have their own website, you may have to use street view to have a preliminary look to pick likely candidates.

  • I bet there are plenty in Croydon

  • Anyone guess at what grit these grinding wheels are? 60?

  • Yep, 60 grit. The top one is silicon carbide, the bottom one is aluminium oxide.

  • top one is silicon carbide

you can tell from the green colour? i kind of assumed they were the same. anyway, large one obviously has some life in, so i'll refit that and get somethign esle for the other side. they are from an old 8" B+D grinder i got hold of

  • No, from the codes. GC is carbide.

Edited to add: GC stands for green carbide, so the colour is a clue, but lots of things are green which aren't carbide. Aluminium Oxide isn't naturally blue.

  • What gxp bb that goes to tokyo fixed trooper
    Crankset would be shimano 5800

    Thanks

  • No GXP BB will be compatible with a Shimano crankset. Won't work.

  • Soory my bad i mean hollowtech

  • I reckon if it was outside and wearing a mask and only one other person was involved, you might be alright during one of the more relaxed periods. Eat a substantial meal off of each other to be on the safe side.

  • Next door are chain-smokers and fry all their food. Now it’s colder and they’ve got their windows closed, it’s coming into our house a lot and making it smell like a pre- smoking ban cafe. Seems to be coming in through combination of shared floorboards under the party wall, the plug sockets and double glazing trickle vents (I’m guessing that’s through the vents in the shared cavity wall), so there’s not much I can do about it coming in. Is there a product that kills these smells but doesn’t heavily scent the place with a masking smell?

  • The cyclocross bike? I'd imagine it'd take standard road hollowtech and has a 68mm shell.

    Maybe this person can help:
