@Creek_Tebsin looks great with Big Block fork, are they 35's? FWIW I'm a big fan of Zenith hubs or at least my wheel builder is. Basically just shiny bearing carriers but they're nicely finished and quite light.
Steamroller people, am I going to have to accept that I probably sold my roller too cheap and that buying another one is going to cost me a fair bit? Haven't seen anything cheap for quite some time and there's plenty of people looking for 53's (my size) with no luck. Triton look to be the cheapest, not sure I can blag cycle to work vouchers atm!

32s, there were 35s but it was super tight and you can kick up seaweed and things on the tracks and roads here so made a little more space..
Cheers, I’ll have a wee look at them too. Yeah they seem to be pretty in demand right now with all the frames sold out everywhere last year. Depends where you work maybe? If it’s deemed essential could make a solid argument for it?

Zenith
I’ve used these and they were identical to Planet X and some Novatech. They are good, hollow axles etc. cnc-bike.de have some great deals on those hubs (Taiwanese dynamo hubs too) but currently in brexit chaos.
These look good, use good bearings as standard and you can buy direct.

Not sure if you got an answer but I used this tubus clamp set on my Steamroller as while back with decent results:
https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/carriers-racks/14mm-tubus-clamp-set-rack-eyes-for-seat-stay-mounting/Worked well on seat stays and I used some electrical tape to protect the frame. Although the tape left some sticky glue residue when I took them off. Qq

Thanks, I bought a Pelago front rack and put it on today. Yet to try it.

Nice and utilitarian. Can't make out if you've used P-clips on the fork tubes?
Velo Orange have those mudguard stay mounts which I considered but they don't look strong enough for even a lightly loaded rack. This was mine when I had a rear rack mounted. Held up my bag no probs.

They attach direct onto the axle and calliper brake bolt, I didn’t switch out the bolt for theirs.

One left in Europe €125 from Berlin to here incl postage & tax. Pelago are making more though, it’s like Kashimax top tube protectors!

Looks awesome! What front rack is that?
Also, are you running 35 tyres? I've been thinking of getting these (https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/TYVITRAILTECHTR/vittoria-trail-tech-g-tubeless-ready-folding-tyre) for leisurely rides on London streets and slight off-road but not sure, seems like the fit would be super tight. -

Hiya, cheers! It’s just a brick lane bikes cheapy one, think it was only like £40. Those are 32s I’ve got on it just now but I’ve had 35s and it was pretty tight. I’ve got an all city big block fork that only is meant for a 32 so don’t what the surly fork clearance will be like. Thing I found was the wheel has to be pretty far back in the dropout to accommodate the tire width on the seat tube

Was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a alternative fork for a steamroller? Been rocking the OG ones for about 8 years and just fancied a bit of a change up.

Steel or carbon. I changed to carbon to loose some weight on my old roller but didn't love it. Went back to steel pretty quick. The Big Block above looks great but has slightly less clearance. I just picked up a Mash works steel fork that I'm hoping to put on a steamroller (if I can find one). Given how scarce frames seem to be atm it might come available soon enough.

That'll require another trip to the garage. I'm probably gonna be there in the next day or two. I'll get those measurements for you.
Haha and I was thinking of mks as I was writing it.. good to know, thank you
