What time is it? Watches and horology

I've posted about this before but I need to sort it out. Omega wanted £80 to replace the battery and can do one. Can I expect to do it myself without risking damage with the right equipment, and what should I buy to do it?

In the pic of the inside of the case back, you can just about see that there is somewhere for a case back knife to fit, opposite the crown, but it is far from pronounced. It feels like you'd need a scalpel to get in there...

Yeah, I caved and got one. Had a roller coaster year (ha, didn’t everyone!) with new babies, losing job and getting a new job etc so wanted something special to remind me of it all (and I’m not allowed a tattoo).

@ChainBreaker - I have a solution. I’m almost certainly going to be selling my PAM177 and the U2 DLC - both tool watches. Pick one up from me for cheaps and then not worry about bashing it.
