  • They’ve got a nice selection!
Love Kaya butter. Over here my breakfast of choice is kaya bun, pb bun and kopi.

  • Nice work! I’m partial to a slice of pandan chiffon cake. Somehow find it a bit “guilt free” as it’s so light. Wouldn’t know where to start to make it from scratch. There’s a bakery nearby which still makes em with natural pandan extract over here. The smell of pandan is delish.

  • Yeah it’s a unique flavour, I’m a fan. I skipped mashing up pandan leaves, just used extract.

It’s basically 1/3 cake batter 2/3 meringue. There’s hardly any flour, it’s mostly air!

  • Off to Google flourless chiffon....

  • The topping swirls went a lot wrong, but otherwise 1/3 of a kilo of smooth has been put to good use. Ta for link.

  • ^ any tips on doing the topping gratefully received. Outsourcing not an option.

    Should have looked:

  • Anyone have any recipes for peanutbutter cups like Reeces Pieces?

Or better yet, healthier... (unless it's boring then the unhealthy version)

  • Reece’s Pieces or Reece’s Cups? I think the cups are quite tricky to do with the right shape but have a look at Peanut Butter Buckeyes, pretty much all the components just in a ball shape. Would have no idea where to start with Reece’s Pieces though

  • No idea what they taste like but this could work for you if it is something like the cups you’re after https://choosingchia.com/healthy-peanut-butter-buckeyes/

  • Sorry! Yes the cups!

    My mouth I'm drooling now

  • Can’t offer any tips as I outsourced my swirling to my partner: she has an artist’s touch and I am a ham fisted twat.

  • I made them a while ago, I think it was quite straightforward! Something along the lines of melt your preferred chocolate with a little bit of coconut oil, add a thin layer to the bottom of a cupcake case, bang it in the fridge to cool. Add a layer of peanut butter in the centre of the chocolate layer, leaving room at the edges, then pour another layer of the chocolate on top and let that cool.

My recipes are never very precise but that's the gist of it, can't go too far wrong!

  • Who recommended PB, gherkin and sriracha on here? Whoever it was, thank you!

  • Whilst not exactly what you asked for i thoroughly recommend these:

  • The other half bought 1kg of Whole Earth. I've got to say, it's not hitting the spot anymore. Tastes like cheap PB.

  • 1kg tins of proper nutty are £5 on ocado at the moment

  • Done. PM to follow.

  • Ah it's not just that I've gotten used to better then.

  • Did I need to be on list for that or can I get in on the sticker action now?

  • Not me but I'm definitely trying that.

I have maintained for a long time that my favourite sandwich is peanut butter and spicy pickles onions.

My dad makes a mean batch of chilly pickled shallots which we get each Christmas. It's gone by the end of Jan, along with a Kg of peanut butter.
