I will try to sort things myself. Purchase what I need, Get 50% there and then totally fuck the thing I just bought and probably something else in the bike. Take it to the shop and watch their faces as I tell them what I’ve done before shuffling out the door and paying for it all to get done properly
I’m interested to hear the details on this, wondering why @Vince didn’t use his local Douze dealership?
I think across the board this forum is pretty pro independent bike shops and I know the SBC guys are not only very knowledgeable but also supporters of the community and in general good guys (well everyone on their team I’ve met) so I’d be interested to hear the full facts.
Potentially it’s a job they shouldn’t have taken on, our shop flat out refuses to work with anything other than Shimano or Bosch when it comes to electrical work because this is what we’ve been trained in and it’s also what is fitted to the brands we sell.
