My feedback is based on personal experience.
I've mentioned it to them at the time and have not left any reviews on Google or similar.I am sure they can read the manual and put a round peg in a round hole for a brand new £5k e-bike but then again so can bike techs at Evans.
I am not trying to get into a keyboard battle - simply sharing personal feedback.

There's a fair amount of evidence to the contrary that I'm aware of.
I think maybe it depends whos in? Ive been there a fair bit for things and occasional advice, i think many of the people in there are very clued up. However they also royally screwed me over recently with a really rookie error, that im fairly sure cant have been one of the experienced guy's doing, because it was so basic.
I dont mean to shit on them as i still actually rate them and the shop highly, and everyone makes mistakes.
I wouldn't trust SBC Cycles with any non "out of the box" e-assist built.
They had my Douze with MPF Drive for 3 weeks and could not get the front light to work.
They manage to mangle the cabling for the lights so now these won't work again.
At this point, I am just glad they didn't fuck up the e-assist.
They tick all the hipster boxes for looks & music taste + they do "rad wheelies" outside the shop but they do not know what they are doing when it comes to anything with a e-assist - unless of course it is a simple plug & play type of build.
And if you need a VAT invoice, be prepared to ask weekly for about 4 months.
