• Hello All,

I have a pretty stunning track frame that must find a new home; as I need to clear some space at home.

The original plan was to adorn this with a wound up, CK, Sugino 75DD's and some Phil wheels - However that plan hasn't come to fruition and it's just been ornamentally hanging up on the wall. Time for someone to take this on as a lockdown project and realise its full potential!

  • That’s a bit special.

  • That is nice!

Did yiu manage to source a wound up?

  • Do you know the history of the bike at all? Like its age, what tubing was used etc?
Lovely bike, very tempting but on the smaller side for me sadly

  • Obscure url on the wishbone- wonder if the address has changed ownership since it was stuck on :D

  • I don't know any of the history I am afraid; just that it has has obviously belonged to someone from the defunct Plowman Craven (Now Madison) race team, and that it has been sprayed up, in this lairy livery, for the Ciclos Uno shop in Ilford.

I would guess the tubing is pretty high-end as the frame is exceptionally light. The track ends are Columbus so that could be indicative. The BB shell is marked '8 88'; potentially meaning August 1988, or the eighth frame built in 1988 - Other than that; there are no other telling markings.

  • A beauty!

  • I bet that was Tony Gibbs

  • man.. that is one lovely frame..

  • Gorgeous. If that were smaller I'd have it :-)

  • Very nice. Think that might even be a c record headset doesn’t have the extra bevelled edge on the top of the headset

  • Thanks for all your comments, it is indeed a stunner, now with a new owner. Look forward to seeing it’s next guise 💪
