For years the gun lobby’s whole raison d’etre is that citizens owning huge numbers or weapons is necessary to ensure that they could overthrow a despotic government should one arise. Now Trump, Q-anon and Facebook rumours have convinced a worrying number of Americans that the Biden Administration is that government. They’ve been prepared for this eventuality for years, I worry where it is going to end, short and long-term.
