I admittedly ordered a set of these a few weeks ago...
Jagwire makes reusable cable ends.
I've also been playing with making my own using thin brass tubing - it's soft enough to crimp onto the cable, snip with dicutters and file to a nice finish.

You in the US?
I don't seem to be able to change the country/region away from United States.

These fish things? https://jagwire.com/products/small-parts/cable-end-non-crimp
hmmm
i must say I've never really found the normal ends to be a problem, but i do dislike it when you get one that's all baggy and you have to mangle it to stay on the cable, usually when using a brake end on a gear cable.

I've never really found the normal ends to be a problem,
Same, but the idea of buying a set of cable ends that'd potentially last forever as opposed to them being a disposable thing does appeal.
As a serial component swapper I've gotten pretty good at crimping normal ones on in such a way that I can remove them and possibly re-use but these seem like a better, and much more aesthetically pleasing way to go.
Website says they'll do international shipping on the next batch.

Anyone else grab some Forager cherries from Wizard Works this morning?

Sounds very Harry Potter or Dungeons and Dragons.

I was tempted but then lost track of time and they'd all sold out by the time I went on the website.
Did you order some? I can't help but think there's a chance of the grub screw corroding and getting stuck after X years worth of rain and grime getting thrown at it.

Similar levels of geekery for sure!
-

Yeah, 3 pairs.
Thought the price was pretty decent but it adds up hella quick when you start thinking about putting them on multiple bikes!
Yeah I guess they could corrode, dissimilar metals isn’t going to help that right? Good solid he of grease on the grub screw?
-

The price was less than I thought they were going to be so I'll probably order some next time around.
Having recently discovered that all my outer cable ferrules have fused to the barrel adjusters (downtube and brake caliper) I will be liberally greasing everything.

How much were they, out of interest? I saw the announcement, but then totally forgot to check the website...
I think Velo Orange have sold them in the past, so dunno if Fresh Tripe etc. will get any.

£15 a pair.
Think Freshtripe are the US distro.

I like a tidy cable crimp, so ended up getting one of these
-

Those are nifty - I wondered if they had just anodized an already existing thing for the bike market & found these stainless versions for a couple of quid, probably wont belong before they appear on Aliexpress like most other simple, effective & easily copied doohickey
Brass version would be nice - can't see any though

I use these now, Shrink wrapped cable ends. no other reason other than they look pretty tidy.

Blob of solder does the job for me.
Just saw these extravagant 'cable cherries' on insta and got me wondering what other options there are for cable crimp pimping.
Anyone got any interesting solutions?
