It's such shit genre of products to have to search for and buy too. Despite all the marketing articles, ime most sofa beds are still shit.
My folks have an amazing pair, but they are fucking MASSIVE '90s jobbies in a very trad style. The bed element is 100% as comfortable as a normal bed. I'd love to find out where the mechanism is from and if their still around making something more to our taste.

We used an IKEA Delaktig as a (single) sofa bed. Makes for a pretty good sofa too.
(It was designed as a multi use platform but was only marketed as a sofa because the safety requirements for anything else were too stringent to throw money at passing)
Bonus points as a robo hoover can work below it.

I was thinking eBay could be your friend. It's a good sofa bed, we're planning to keep it and put it in our upstairs 'snug' (second living room which would normally be the big front bedroom) which will be used for TV watching, reading, cosy stuff. Then it can still be a guest bedroom when needed.
