winterfied my lobster today, new kenda nevgals front and back, bit heavier than the unwired folding version i ran previously, only by a few hundred grams or so , and took it out for a test ride
first ride since a really claggy mission to epping in oct, dusted of the mud oiled the chain and it ran like a dream, i have to say i'm amazed at what an mtb takes and still glides along silently after 3 months no use , caked in mud with only an dab of oil ............. but then
500m in the very southern end of epping forest and i called it a day
so claggy, tyres were just picking the mud up and flinging it at the bike, hard work cycling not really that enjoyable, back along the roads to a continual hail of mud chunks flying off the tyres and frame
