It looks like something is on the lens/sensor rather than a dead pixel.
Ok, so I just switched from A to P and it disappeared. :S Curious.
I was shooting landscapes with small f ~f16-f22 yesterday. Back to A and then opened it up the dot faded away so, does that prove it's on the lens? Presumably a sensor issue would stay the same no matter what the lens did.

It is likely the sensor if it appears as dots at those sorts of f.

Is it a hot/dead pixel, or a dark spot like a bit of shit in the way?
