It looks like something is on the lens/sensor rather than a dead pixel.
Ok, so I just switched from A to P and it disappeared. :S Curious.
I was shooting landscapes with small f ~f16-f22 yesterday. Back to A and then opened it up the dot faded away so, does that prove it's on the lens? Presumably a sensor issue would stay the same no matter what the lens did.
Got Capture One (Sony ed) going. Pics aren't great (that's my fault) but a shitload more detail in them compared to the phone so I'm pretty happy with it. One small issue is a dot on the lens or sensor which is putting a blip in the skies. No luck cleaning it but I don't have any cleaning kit so I'm not going to get far. Got a 20mm f2.8 coming. Cost about 140 quid. At least having a second lens will answer the question about the dot - lens or sensor.
