Corporates withdrawing future donations from represenratives who voted against the results certification. Interesting to see how long this lasts and how far it spreads.

Marriott has been specific about who they will not fund, but other big corporates are just saying they are going to suspend all political donations while they "reconsider". Meaning they will just wait a little and hope for the fuss to die down.

Some talk of a major hack of Parler yesterday...rumours of user database being compromised...not confirmed yet. If true, and the verification ID data has been compromised, could be really messy.

Not that Parler needed hacks to make things messy. Apparently they forgot to strip EXIF data from uploaded photos and videos that have been uploaded since they launched and people have scraped it all and handed it to Law Enforcement.

Another vote for the Washington Post report. It is hard to grasp how close it all was to many more deaths and the incompetence without reading that account in full. Seems like the ego or, as has been mentioned previously, decision fatigue of Capitol police got in the way. Stenger saying he wished he’d retired last week as he was barricaded from the mob indicates his mind was already collecting his pension. I can’t see a rational reason for not having more force on stand by for such a gathering.
