Ep8 delayed due to mftr issues (same for everyone! Everyone wants that motor and shimano can't make them fast enough).
Ep8 and e6100 weight very close, few hundred grams is all I think. The old e6000 was about 1.5kg heavier (4.5kg vs 2.8kg). Considering a normal ht2 bb and an xt chainset is going to weigh around 1.4kg, the 2.8 is pretty good going!
e6100 has walk assist im pretty sure, useful for moving the bike on steep ground when loaded.
London green cycles advised the EP8 might be most suitable due to sort of weight I might carry and distance to cover. on the larryvsharry site it looks like they aren't due in until June which is a bummer. Is it with the wait?! its 2021 and folks don't like waiting for things anymore!
I think the 6100 is probably enough but I like the loss of weight and the ability to walk with the bike in assist mode of the EP8.
