  • If they want to run Parler with their "free speech" agenda... I.e. hate speech... Then they're going to have to turn it into an onion site, run it on Tor, and make the standard web and apps be TOR proxies.

    However the more they do this, the more they will push themselves underground and reduce their own audience.

    Otherwise to survive on the web they're going to have to comply with the laws that apply to where they are, and ultimately this means stopping the hate speech.

    This is lose-lose for them. They'd continue in either form, but diminished.

  • No one took them seriously.
    No one wished to lose half their potential audience and the revenue associated with that.

    Basically: corporate interests were aligned with doing nothing.
