  • I’ve rediscovered my Alvin Kamara man crush!
Just love the way he plays, seems to have all the time in the world to survey the field, after the hand off or catch and then accelerate into space and grab chunks of yardage..

  • Made history tonight and Sean Payton probably cost him the outright record

  • And yes of course the chap I’m facing in my fantasy super bowl has him. Only 56 points!

  • Been watching nfl red zone the last couple of weeks, find it really good in terms of being involved in the action in multiple games.
But I’m finding the voice of the man who presents it really difficult to get on with.
I mean really fucking difficult to get in with.
The less he talks when he links the action, the better.

  • Won't hear Scott Hansen slander here. He genuinely loves football as much as it sounds like he does, it isn't corny fake enthusiasm.

This is a great read into how much work goes into redzone each week.

  • I feel your pain, the presenters have been the downfall of Sky’s NFL coverage since day one, fortunately the digital age means there are other options. @cornelius_blackfoot

  • Sean McVay will be a fun watch post game

  • corny fake enthusiasm

    Zing.

    Doesn't compute, though. :)

  • I get the enthusiasm, it’s the repetition of info we’ve already heard. Okay once, but doubling/tripling up on it, just to fill time gets annoying in a hurry.

His voice isn’t as annoying as some of the regional commentators , or their partisanship when their team scores a touchdown..

  • On another note, does anyone watch the nfl highlights on YouTube?
There have been multiple videos that don’t show touchdowns, repeat plays, the quality control on the is shocking and I’m starting to get tired of it. Wondering where I can send my withering criticism to.

  • Yeah I’ve only just got back to watching the nfl on sky. Despite my dislike of the red zone commentator, he’s preferable to the tired studio format that sky have cobbled together and relied on for so long.

  • Yes I do. They very rarely show replays, even on spectacular plays or contentious decisions. Weird decision. I haven't noticed any TDs missed out completely.

  • I have, you’ll be watching a highlight and the scores will change without a touchdown being scored, points after touchdowns and field goals I can live without. Touchdowns not so much.

  • 19 points scored in the last 3 minutes of the raiders dolphins game, quite exciting finish, both sides thought they had it at various points

  • Nick Chubb!
Everytime he breaks the game line, you think he’s going to score a touchdown wherever on the field he is.
Just so shifty and strong and fast!
    2nd round draft pick

  • That does my head in too. The NFL site has slightly better highlights, but there's so many ads, it's almost unwatchable, and ad blockers block everything...

  • Fuck me cleveland are making this hard for themselves.
Going for it on 4th down at Pittsburgh’s 40 odd yard line. Letting Pittsburgh score on the next drive then stopping their 2pt try.
Almost muffing the onside kick, and now making hard work of getting one first down with under two mins to go to kill off the game..

  • Bills win their first playoff game since 1995 and looking good doing it.
They good enough to break the grip of the chiefs over the afc?

Fingers crossed for the browns tomorrow night. I’m going to be too deep in slumberland to see if they can turn over the Steelers.

  • looking good doing it.

Though the Colts beat themselves - Blankenship doink, the weird challenge at the start of the 2nd half costing them the time out they needed at the end, couple of drops on key 3rd downs!

  • The colts could have been better, but they knew they had to put points on the board and the more the merrier, but the bills ability to make big plays on offense and move quickly down the field was in full effect, if not for Allen taking a 20yd sack on their last drive, it wouldn’t have been as close it turned out.

  • Rams offense has looked woeful with goff under centre and we never got kick of a chance to see Woolford before he got whacked on a bootleg.
But the rams defence has been all world. Up 10 and Seattle hasn’t been able to get anything going, despite Lockett making an amazing one handed grab..
Can the rams defense do a Baltimore or Tampa bay or bears and drag a deficient offense to the super bowl?

  • if not for Allen taking a 20yd sack on their last drive, it wouldn’t have been as close it turned out.

Bit trite... If you can discount at will any play in a game it's pretty easy to portray results as either more or less close however you see fit!

  • bills are pushing for a touchdown, if they get one they are ten points clear, they end up having to punt, on that one play.
The score line makes it look close when it in fact was not.

  • But, they didn't score, Allen was flushed out the pocket, held the ball to extend the play and got sacked.

I don't think you're being as clever as you think you are when you say 'if events in the game had happened differently, the outcome of the game would have been different'.

  • Whose trying to be clever?
I’m talking about the game that I saw. The colts could have made it closer, but their inability to make third downs doomed them.
The bills were able to make big plays and and grab chunks of yardage all game thru Josh Allen scrambling and finding receivers, who made some big catches. They were up 24-10, before the colts came back into the game. If it had gone to overtime, I’d have put my money on the bills to win it.
Anywhoo I’ve got no skin in this game, apart from hoping the bills do well after almost 30 yrs of not doing well.
