Don't canti brake pads normally sit a bit more perpendicular to the the canti brake arm, rather than in a straight line?
Not fully sure I understand what you mean by that.
This is only the second bike I have set up - or attempted to set up - with Canti's.
I definitely think there is a bit more adjustment / fettling to be done before they are correct.
