Why not 88?
Couldn't see them anywhere on the website but they come up if you google them. Never used deep-section wheels, would 88s mean death by crosswind outdoors or is it much of a muchness vs 65s?

If you go fast enough, crosswinds resolve to a very low yaw angle 🙂 People use PX101s at the track, LB88s should be much more forgiving.

I have a pair of those R45 rims and 25mm GP4ks came out at 28mm on them. 23mm GP5k or 23mm Vittoria Corsas end up at 25mm. FYI.

A 101 on the front would be pretty damn sketchy on an outdoor track! I wouldn't want to run an 88 unless it was a calm day.

Might err on the side of caution and stick with 65s just so I'm not bricking it if I do ride outdoors.

Want me to get a pair added to the quote?
-
• #8808
Aye, I'll PM you with details once I've made my mind up re holes.
-

Good to know. By the sounds of it R45 is the right choice for me, much as I'd love to have a wider rim.

Might get in on this too. Are AR45 the right rims for running disc brake wheels with 28 to 32mm tyres? (Road riding) Would be upgrading from my Kinlin XR31 to Hope hubs still
-
• #8811
They'll do a great job for it 28-32.

• #8812
Drop me a PM if you want a pair adding to the quote. Given the size of the order now the Falcon Pro rims (such as the AR45) are 30% off.

have pm'd you as well

Does that discount extend to the MTB Recon Pro series rims - eg. 29er-AM927? Thanks

I'm not sure, I'll ask Koko for you

I have a set of the previous generation (35mm deep, 17.9mm internal, 25mm external) with the grooved tracks and they have been superb. Welcome to try if you get close to Ghent.
25mm Corsa 2.0 blows out to 27.3mm on them.

copies of Dyson Hair Dryers
Ha! Have you ordered one? I'm tempted to get one for my wife's birthday as a sort of wind up that could turn out well if they are actually any good and won't blow your head clean off...

I’m considering getting in on this if not too late. What’s the cutoff?

Ideally this Sunday evening as getting the quote updated by Lightbicycle for Monday morning.

Yes, much better to support a state that arrests pro-democracy activists and runs "re-education" camps.

New to carbon rims and could do with some advice please.
First up, I want to build a wheel set for my rim brake road bike and after looking at the LB range these are what stood out -
FALCON rim R55 Road/CX
Grooved Graphine Surface
24h Front, 28h RearAny reason why not? Or is there a better option?
Secondly, I need to build a fixed rear wheel and was looking at this rim -
FALCON rim R55 disc Road/CX
28hAgain, anything better I should be looking at?
Thanks.

28h Rear
If you think you need more than 24H rear, you might as well go all the way to 32. 28 is a weird no man's land which might have been a viable minimum in the 70s when rims were soft aluminium about 15mm deep, but now it offers practically no performance advantage over 32 and just cuts your hub options in half.
people who already have LB wheels/rims, make sure you share something on social media for a $50 discount
