I’m not saying you ignore that but I don’t think rushing to an impeachment that has minimal impact is worth as much as the Dems are making out. His supporters will only take encouragement from it as it shows he’s still the enemy of the deep state if they can boot him out of the WH. Tying him up in a decade of expensive civil and criminal cases would have far more impact on his ability to shit stir in future.

This was an attempted coup. If it had any traction, he'd have run with it! He'd have capitalised on it! Fuck that... He incited and pushed them. He's been building on this for years like a lobster in a pot...

TBH I think it's pointless. The Republicans will delay it long enough to get past the inauguration no matter what and then they'll use it as a stick to beat the Democrats with for the next 4 years. They'd be better off tying him up in civil and criminal cases after he's left the White House.
