Mavic Cosmics and New hub

Posted on
  • Hello,

Just cleaning house and getting rid of some old/new parts:

Mavic Cosmic Elite Rear wheel - £free
Had some real issues with the hub. It would vibrate when free wheeling after a few miles, probably due to bearings heating up. Tried to replace the free hub but this didn’t fix the issue, probably because I needed to replace the entire hub. Tbh think I did more damage trying to fix it... Anyway, rear wheel is only good for rim and spokes but I’ll include everything. I removed decals.

Mavic Cosmic Elite Front wheel - £30
Absolutely fine. Bought as a replacement but not really used. I removed decals. Loads of life left in brake tracks.

New mavic free hub body -£20
Niche part which someone might be interested in. I purchased from sigma for £45 in an attempt to fix the rear wheel (above) but it didn’t help so this has only seen one loop around the block.

    Pick up from Archway N19.

  • Friday price drop - £25 for front wheel and rear wheel is available again (still free).

  • tentative dibs. was anything lost from rear hub?

  • No but the through axel which I’ve removed (pictured) is ruined tbh. Otherwise all parts of the old hub are there.

New hub body is as pictured. That’s everything it came with.

  • second dibs on the rear wheel please i've got an elite with quite a worn rim so would be good
