  • I know this is just completely batshit crazy, but are any republican senators actually considering what might be best for the country? Surely they can agree that removing him from office now and stopping the crazy fucker from running in 2024 would actually be the best thing for the US of A. Or am I just being a stupid commie?

  • They might truly believe that the Republican party might be the best thing for the country.
    I can't imagine they think of Trump as a glorious leader, but back him as a route to power.

    It all depends how the next few years ago, if politics in the US does move towards back towards bi-lateral comprise (a big if, I know) then a Trump style candidate might not be what the party wants anyway.

    What the GOP really needs right now is a unifying and electable candidate to emerge, and soon. If there is a chasm to fill, Trump knows how to fill it.
