Hey fellow steamrollers, the decals on my secondhand roller is peeling and half torn off. Where would you guys suggest buying new decals?
I'm looking for white ones as my frame is black.
Thanks! -

Just rebuilt mine today after a cheeky little respray c/o my local shop (mad respect to Punk Bikes in Cardiff) and a powder coating company who have started to spray bikes for them..
Well pink does make the boys wink

Thanks for your reply.
But what does QBP stands for? And how can I find shops with a QBP account? -

That looks ace! Have you had canti bosses put on a roller fork ? That’s just what I need, fucking hate the shit caliper brake on mine.

I swapped the forks out and replaced them with some from a Long Haul Trucker, wanted the extra clearance so running V brakes, also wanted the option of rack mounting in the future

The distributor. So if you can find a local bike shop that stocks those brands it’s likely they can order what you need.

I’ve just put my first steamroller together and want to put a rear rack on a frame without eyelets to carry Ortliebs. Has anyone used P clips on the seat stays to do this. I’m looking to use a Tortec Velocity or any other rack ideas that work? Using gatorskin 622 x 32 tyres.

Thought I'd add mine.
Built up earlier this year and ridden hard around London and Sheffield ever since.

hey everyone, I'm kinda tempted to join the steamroller movement to build a all-road daily and need your opinion.
This guy is selling this repaint steamroller for 500€ (might be bit pricey). What do you think, legit right? good deal? might change a lot of the components but the frame looks great in this epoxy silver.

I like my 'roller but they are quite expensive for what they are; with the market being what it is today, I'd say €500 was ok, a new frame is more costly than that

Hiya,
Here’s my little roller up in Orkney. Looking to rebuild the wheels with some sealed track hubs due to the salt up here. I had hoped for old phils or something but looking at new sturmey archer or halo, anyone used the sturmeys before?? Seem cheap from a pretty reputable brand but just want to hear some real world experience, cheers!

I have the same colour, creamroller I believe?

Haha never thought of that.. perfect!

Sturmey Archer are a Taiwanese brand now.
I don’t think there’s much to separate Novatech, Halo, ... all the rebranded Novatech hubs. They’re all sealed cartridge bearings. I think the bearing covers are pretty similar?
I’d buy whichever allows budget for cone spanners (if needed) and lots of thick grease. Drop in SKF bearings once the og ones are gritty and load everything up with grease (if grease works its way out, water and dirt can’t go in). It’s not too arduous changing bearings, gets easier each time and doesn’t require special tools.

That’s some spot on advice there, thank you mate! All stocked up on grease and tools and it’s nice to know the sks bearings will fit when it comes to changing. Cheers!

No worries! Typo on my part, it's 'SKF' bearings. They're well worth the extra fiver.

Here's my Steamroller in "Meth Teeth", a colour that's really grown on my over the years. It's been pretty much stock since I bought it in 2012, apart from several changes with cockpit and saddle.
