As mentioned previously, my 3080 is perfectly happy on 850W and the whole thing has never drawn more than 580W from the wall. A single 3090 won't need more.
As far as I can tell that motherboard is available in vanilla and watercooled versions. Identical in all other respects except for the price tag, but the regular one is still an eye-watering £700.
Was. Now ordered :/
Thanks though, Spots.
Only ordered the 3090 so far. Umming and ahhing about the rest. Latest (and probably not the last) iteration:

Way, way off my original idea (small form factor, ryzen 9). I've seen some SFF cases that fit a 3090 but they seem really cramped and I worry I'd balls the build. I also want native thunderbolt 3 in the motherboard which seems to limit me a lot. There was the B550 Vision D but it had a few first world probs like only 1gbE sockets compared to the 10/2.5gbE of the Z490, the latter also had USB for the front of the case built in etc - there are workarounds obviously but to my tired eyes the Z490 / E-ATX build seems easier straight out of the box?
