Do not go for an ultrasonic jobbie. A) they don’t work. B) despite manufacturer claims, people can hear them and they’re annoying as fuck.

I picked up a couple of cheapo amazon ultrasonic zappers motion detectors when foxes were doing this. It stopped overnight and hasn't started back since.
Edit:I can't hear them - my daughter and friends could though - we covered up the sensor when in the garden. Although reading comments above, maybe I'm being super antisocial by having them..

Cats and or Foxes using our front garden as a litter tray - is there a way to discourage this that's fairly simple and not equally disgusting?
