Just binge watch the Estonia documentary on discovery plus after having read an article about it. I had no idea what discovery plus was, it turns out you can get it free for 12months if you have discovery on your sky package.
Brilliant watch and a case where the most outlandish sounding conspiracy theory turns out to be the most likely explanation of what happened. I was only aware of official account up until now.

Dicovery+ only launched about 5 weeks ago. A friend of mine works there and was banging on about it recently.

Try Norsemen too. Like Vikings, but funny(ish).

Anyone else started watching Your Honor...getting my vote
This is reallyreallygood

Haven’t watched Norsemen, but black sails runs along a similar line to Viking and Spartacus. The first season or so is unnecessarily sexual, but the storyline is pretty darn good as a preface to Treasure Island.

Obviously I watched black sails at the time, Spartacus too. I'm a sucker for very loosely historic gratuitous sex and violence. Norseman is good, although last series was a bit dull, it's fun to watch it knowing they did every scene twice for the English and Danish (or something Scandi) version.

Will look it up then. Barbaren ist auch gut, German-made series about a Roman legionnaire.

Not got round to barbarians yet, on the list though for if I fancy reading some telly.

Is Marcella season 3 any good?
Just wondering as it has a Belfast plot line.
Btw line of duty is filmed in Belfast...you can see a bonfire in the background in one episode 🤣
And the police station outside is the Belfast central library.

Bridgerton.
Why exactly would I give a fuck about it?
Boooooooring.

The Great is worth a view as long as you dont mind your period drama engaging with some creative storytelling
-
• #6438
Yeah was fantastic, watched it on starz or something on Amazon after watching The Favourite.
Hoult was excellent as the Russian dude.

'The Twelve' on 4 has been pretty decent so far. Belgium murder trial from the point of view of the jury.

I liked the first great, is it all up from somewhere else?

Last Man on Earth. Started out like a dream (maybe I just like destruction) but rapidly turns shit.
-
• #6442
Haha, yea, I think I stopped watching that halfway through the second episode..
-
• #6443
Out of sheer laziness we just left it autoplay into Season 2 but it's shit. One of those shows I spend more time talking over criticizing than watching. I really wanted to see more of what it would be like as actual last man on earth, not "let's immediately meet 5 people and spend every episode being dickheads in the same two houses" like every fucking sitcom ever.

My girlfriend and I got really sucked into this recently. Watched all of it in quick succession despite it being pretty shit. No idea why we spent so much time on it!
-
• #6445
I'm in the same boat. It's just sitting there in Plex waiting for me to hit play when dinner arrives. Because I'm a sucker for 'finishing' things I'll probably watched every fucking episode and hate myself for it.

Also watching The Great. Hadn't expected to like it but really good brain-off TV
-
• #6447
Ha, I've just got the last season to watch but really can't be bothered. It deteriorated pretty quickly.

I just finished the two seasons of Brassic before this. Dunno how I got onto this one. I wonder what else is kicking about.
-
• #6449
give Letterkenny a go

Brassic is amazing
You seen baskets? That's a really good American bit weird comedy thing. I didn't mind last man alive but it started off alright and got worse.
he's surprisingly convincing for an underpants model.
where did they get all those sneks from tho?
