only do it if you spec the purple pack.

What’s the seat? Looks wise it’s like a charge I had to sell but clearly isn’t. I need some camo back on my bike!

Can anyone tell me if this is looseness is meant to be there? New bike, happens with both levers (Shimano MT501)

if by looseness you mean that the lever moves both ways then i would say yes and this is to give you the capacity to adjust the reach by winding in/out some screw near the lever junction

• #18986
I did think that, however when I dial the reach all the way out the looseness is still there. I’ve looked for screws that relate to it but can’t find anything! Fluid seems fine too so can’t be that..

Its normal. Don't know why they do it but its not an issue.

I just fitted a Rockshox Reverb 1X remote lever and, when operated, it leaks at the cable/remote junction.
Is this a sign that the remote is borked, or have I likely done something wrong in the installation process?

Trimmed a centimetre of housing off, screwed the remote back into the hose, seems to be holding pressure now. I don't, however, trust it.

reverbs are infamously unreliable

I heard they were infamously unreliable.
I'm pretty sure that the only reasons why people buy Reverbs is - they're cheap in some circumstances, or money is no object and they buy the wireless one.

The old (doorbell style) remote was 100% reliable, that the new one immediately leaked is not reassuring. I've left it to stand overnight with a bit of paper under the remote, if it can keep it's liquid in and the air out I'll test ride it (around London, yes I'll be that guy) tomorrow.

I don’t have a fluorescent Hai-Bike, or 1% of his talent sadly.

I vaguely remember the same thing happening when I upgraded to the 1x lever.
After following the installation instructions it inexplicably leaked. I followed the process again and trimmed the hose to make sure it was straight. It was fine after that... I appreciate theres no real useful information in there.
I remember that the lever has strange barb and it just screws into the hose. It seems making sure it screws in straight is crucial. -

Would really like to retrofit a Bafang mid drive to the old Giant Reign full sus (once I find a new set of 26” forks).
With the lockdown I can’t green lane on the mtb much and really want to get some technical slow trail riding in, without killing my knees. All for the trials experience, balance, etc. Just can’t push as hard as I used to.
Anyone on-here done a mid?
Re my steel HT ramblings earlier, does this not seem like amazing value?
