That wasn’t my point, my point was that you would get a greater divide between people who can/want to pay and those who can’t/refuse to pay.
Dickheads with money get more airtime, those without money who have valuable things to say might not.

That's already the case. By yourself a newspaper like the Daily Mail and you can have far more influence than is reasonable.
Meanwhile some stuff is paid for and available to all. I pay a National Trust membership which helps pay for the maintenance of some fantastic parts of the country but there isn't anyone checking your ticket for the vast majority of it.

Under some models you don't have to pay evenly or at all, as long as users on the whole pay.
I believe lfgss is mostly paid for by members. I've donated in the past but probably a lot less than others for example. Some have probably never donated which seems fine to me.
