I got motherfucking mud on my tyres.

New bike time.

Unacceptable

Vittoria Terreno Wet would be overkill and too slow for anything but slick mud in cross course. I had them on my second set of wheels racing cross.

Meh, the wets are 1.3 watts slower than the mix at 33mm and 30psi according to bicyclerollingresistance.com. I suspect even less at proper cross pressures. I've given up obsessing with changing tyres all the time and subscribed to Nick Craig's view that you can't really ever have enough grip.

Thanks for the suggestions all. Probably save some money and stick with my skinny tyres until the slop starts to dry out in the spring.

At least it was with the 47mm Ventures and not the 2" Saguro I've got coming. I might've briefly lost 1.8W of vital power to tyre-mud-fork interference! The horror!
