  • Helpful link, if to just feel better about how much it could have cost!
The cat is made by BM I think. No idea who makes the other bit of exhaust tho.

From the cat guards I’ve seen, it strikes me that it’ll just cause the thieves to create more damage in their efforts to try and get the parts.

That said. If it happens again, it’s getting straight piped!

  • Now the question is how to stop it getting nicked again.

Pet leopard, trained to sleep under the car.

  • That and politely asking the neighbours to not use both the spaces on the driveway.

One space is permanently taken by their SORN’d rotting camper van with a fucked transmission.

But that’s a rant for another day.

  • Why ask politely? A pet leopard can make the point for you...

  • Finally picked up this 1992/93 rangey Vogue yesterday (hard to get it registered over xmas), new company car as the lease is up on the black one next month. Gotta get the central locking sorted out, gonna tint the back windows and fit a decent stereo. 1st time dealing with a classic car over here so gonna be a steep learning curve.

  • That's super cool. Is this your company car? I've not heard a classic ever being an option as such.

  • There is quite a big loophole with classic cars as a company car, where if you get one worth less than £15k, you pay the benefit in kind on the original purchase price rather than on the current value. So for example if you buy a triumph spitfire, worth less than £15k you would pay BIK on the original cost of £550! it works out at something like £80 a year.

  • No mod 'warm n cuddly' cons doe.

  • and the liklihood that ongoing running costs are high, no idea how that would work in a larger company, we are a company of 3, and I have always been tempted by it, obviously you have to purchase the car in most cases rather than lease which is another issue.

  • I’m in Berlin so it’s not a classic yet until it hits 30yrs. The last 3 years we’ve been leasing, the cost was between 2-3k€ a month for an autobiography and I reckon avg 4K a year service cost. Just got sick of all the electrical stuff playing up all the time. I have a feeling they might lease an audi r4 or something for running around the city if the rangey doesn’t work out. Drives like a boat but loving it atm and don’t get as many dirty looks!!

  • Yes, that works out expensive! We used to have a mid eighties range in the deep burgundy, was a great car.

  • Yes.

    Want so badly.

We’re you involved with the paint job at all? Under the clamshell is ace.

  • Awesome! Welcome the silly club.

  • Did some actual work with my admittedly less plush model recently.

  • Welcome to finding every bodge the previous owners have done. ;)

  • That is delicious.

I have a real hankering for a 3 door. There are plenty about round here, but I need to earn some money first.

  • Saw this today, it had huge NOS tanks down the side of the gearbox too.

The guy also has an F100 pickup, a Ford Bronco and a Dodge Superbird (that’s for sale for $325k)

  • Thats mad, is it a real de Tomaso? Also, front bar has shades of an R34 gtr

  • Yep, Genuine Pantera GT4.

  • I’ve already found a few 🤣. Pretty lucky though as it only had one owner from new a dentist who collects cars, came with a full service history, bought in Germany in 1993 but lived in Marbella and garaged. I looked at some really shite ones over the last few months and luckily stumbled onto this one by chance

  • Hesus. Excuse my ignorance, where is this?

  • I assume NZ, based on that Ford courtesy car. #CSI #enhance
