  • we did have jota but he's injured too
on the bright side ... at least we're keeping the title race exciting this year

  • Man united’s to lose

  • phew, pressure's off us now

we play them in a couple of weeks, yikes

  • from best right back in the world to giving the ball away 38 times to southampton, in one game, a record for any player this season,

kind of sums us and all our players up at the minute

    #fatigue

  • It was a quality pass from Ward-Prowse. Saints are class with him and Ings playing well. I’d rather we went 1-0 up with 2 minutes to play rather than 2 minutes played. It makes for a much easier game somehow.
As for Hassenhuttel, we’d better make the most of him this season. If we finish in the top half he’ll be gone.

  • the commentators said just after the goal.... if you're going to concede make it the first minute rather than the last minute

    commentators curse strikes again

ward prowse has been on fire with the deadball this season to be fair

  • lampard the third longest serving manager of the cheslski era

Sums not your strong suit dicki, or is it facts that you struggle with?

Mourinho 212 (in two tranches each more than two seasons)
    Ancelotti 76
    Conte 76

    arguably also Ranieri 146

    Fat Frank 54

  • Wayne Rooney’s Derby going to impressive lengths to avoid a tough FA cup tie with Chorley

  • The midlands banter is the lifeblood of this thread, gawd bless you, guys...

  • Giving us an excuse to play our U23 and U18 wonderkids and get them on the TV. It'll be fine.

  • What channel are we on? Can’t see it in the BBC1 schedule.

  • "footy on telly" is one of my most googled things. I should really bookmark the link:-

Says BT Sport 1 for Chorley vs Derby Saturday 12:15

  • big fan of serie A on livescore app. lots of games and all free

  • RIP Colin Bell. I'm not a City fan, but he was a big part of a great team (inc Lee & Summerbee et al) when I was growing up in the North West.

  • Indeed, and immortalised in The Italian Job

  • And with The Bell End at the Commonwealth Games stadium

  • Bellend give us a song!

  • I loved Colin Bell as a kid, so blonde, so glam... RIP...

  • I’d pay good money to charity to see him do the Anfield Rap.

  • Nice touch by City to have all players in number 8 last night. A bit surprised the competition rules allowed that.

  • Barcelona are considering buying a Major League Soccer franchise to help convince Messi to renew his deal after he said he wanted to play in the US at the end of his career.

    bonkers

  • liverpool work out new tactics for winning the league, trial run in the cup tomorrow night

Aston Villa have experienced a "significant" coronavirus outbreak at the club on the eve of their FA Cup third-round tie with Liverpool.

any suspicious, curly black haired lads in shell suits ground shouting " caaalm down caaalm down " seen at the villa training ground sneezing ?

  • Can't they field a team of youth players like we are doing against Chorley?

  • Yeah, we are planning to play the kids if there are enough of them available. Most of our u23s are around 18 - it's a very young squad. I think it's unlikely we'll be repeating the last 2 results.

  • time to get our goal difference to villa this season looking more reasonable

talk of origi starting though, so we'll see

...... and just been reminded by a liverpool forum, that while liverpool were away winning the world club championships last year we fielded a young side against villa in the caraboa cup* , nice symmetry

*villa also played quite a weak side and beat us 5-0
