I am selling my road bike that I am not using so much anymore. It has full Shimano Ultegra 10 speed groupset (no pedals). I enjoy riding this bike but now need the space, therefore selling. Please see photos attached. There are other photos in the same link with other items I am also selling here. You are welcome to test the bike. I am based in East London but happy to deliver to a nearby area. Everything works well on the bike and it's a very comfortable ride.
Currently there is a Mavic Aksium wheelset on it and not the Easton EA70s that are in the photo. I can also include the EA70s for a little extra if you need. I found below description online about the bike:
Looking for around £680 or next reasonable offer. Please PM if you are interested or have any questions:
The BMC SLX01 is an aluminum and carbon fibre hybrid. The reason for this combination is to utilize the materials that are best suited to where they are being used in the construction of the frame. The SLX01 Racemaster has an Easton CNT-enhanced carbon fibre top half joined to a bottom half made almost entirely of hydroformed and tripled-butted 7005 aluminium.
What BMC calls the ‘Aluminium Trident’ includes the down tube from just aft of the head tube, the entire aero-shaped seat tube and the tall multisided chain stays. Up top, the ‘Carbon Arc’ includes the top tube, head tube and remaining portion of the down tube - all of which form one continuous section – and the separately formed wishbone-style seat stay assembly. Nearly everything (including the forged aluminium dropouts) is bonded together, with conventional welds used only at the bottom bracket shell.
According to BMC, this configuration delivers a far more rigid bottom bracket than its other models but still excellent comfort and road feel. With both aluminum and carbon being light materials, there really is not weight penalty with this approach in construction.
