  • I have a pair of Ed 71s that I just can't get on with. Something about the fit and stiffness makes them really restrictive. Kind of feels like wearing a pair of bondage trousers (one would imagine). Tying my shoelaces in them is a major chore.

I think it's because they were much longer in the leg than I need and are turned up a total of about 6 inches (both trimmed and turned up). That, and the low rise slipping down has the effect of restricting movement. I like the way they look but man, I can't wear them anymore. I got so annoyed with them the other day that I took them off and spent the last hour of the day pottering about the kitchen in my pants.

  • This year has really been a game changer for me when it comes to jeans. From slim with focus on how they look to less slim and more comfy. So far Indigofera’s Clint fit has been the best.

It’s either all the working from home or I’m just getting old. Dad jeans next?

  • Ha. I know exactly what you mean. If I ever go back to selvedge, I’m gonna have to accept they’re going to be a loose fit/look shit. I’ve got big legs and a big arse and tapered jeans like the ED55 look best, but any amount of movement is a mare.

Makes me lol. I’ve deffo had the same experience of getting angry and taking my jeans off exactly as you described.
