Bought this just before the first lockdown with the intention of popping to the shops on it, spent a load of money and have ridden it once.
The reality of it is that the shops are a 10 minute walk and i don't like carrying a basket and a folding bike around the co-op so needs to go.
It's a 'bike in a bag' (no bag included) made by Neo Bike. On doing a bit of research, it appears they are a company in Taiwan that just used to rip off Dahon and Brompton folders. Typically the parts are interchangeable, the seatpost etc were easy to get on ebay.
Spec -
Steel 'bike in a bag' frame
Converted from american BB and 3 piece cranks to standard BB with DMR wonder cups
Dura Ace 7701 cranks 170mm (chainring mounted in small ring position to get decent chainline
Sub 100 mile 105 Octalink Bottom Bracket BB-5500
Original 16 inch wheels with new Schwalbe 16 X 1.75 Road Cruiser Tyres w/new schwalbe tubes
New Litepro 31.8 seatpost
New Zitto (?) brakes with upgraded swisstop pads
New lightweight alloy brake levers
Generic velo saddle no rips or damage
New KMC chain
New chain tugs
New brake inners and outers
New black grips No pedals (keeping the XTR ones pictured)
Bad points -
It's an old folding bike and rides like one
Wheel bearings could probably do with being greased or renewed as they feel a bit notchy when turning by hand
I didn't replace the freewheel, it's fine but not new.
Brakes are not the best, better with the new pads but something to keep in mind.
Small amount of surface rust here and there
Some glue residue from the decals i couldn't get off.
£120 collected from Hendon NW4 or with a couple days notice could get it up to London E1 but would rather not.
